Paqueta Transfer Price tag set

Top Source: Lucas Paqueta won’t leave West Ham for less than £60m

Lucas Paqueta will not be sold for anything under £60 million this summer, and West Ham could demand as much as £70 million.

That’s come from a reliable West Ham source, as revealed by @ExWHUEmployee, firmly shutting down recent rumours of a cut-price exit.

Any club hoping to secure the Brazilian playmaker will need to pay the going rate, or not bother at all. Despite ongoing speculation, the Hammers are taking a firm stance on one of their most valuable assets.

West Ham insider dismisses £30m Paqueta report as nonsense

Senior figures at West Ham have rubbished talk of Lucas Paqueta being available for £30 million, after a Mail on Sunday piece wrongly suggested that was the club’s asking price.

According to Claret and Hugh, insiders quickly shut down that figure. “We’d NOT sell him for that. Articles like the Mail really hurt us. We see him as a £60/70m player, or we keep him,” said one club source.

Even though Paqueta’s goal return dropped last season, with five goals and no assists in 2024/25, the club continue to view him as a top-tier talent. The pricing reflects that belief, and there’s no intention to back down.

FA probe into Paqueta nearing conclusion with signs of optimism

FA and Lucas Paqueta

Paqueta was charged in May following an FA investigation into suspicious bookings across four Premier League matches. The case has dragged on for nearly a year, frustrating both the club and the player.

However, hope is increasing that a resolution is close. As reported in The Times, West Ham expect a favourable outcome, possibly within weeks. While nothing is confirmed, the general feeling around Rush Green is much more positive than it was at the start of the year.

Paqueta is still training and involved with the first-team squad, and he remains a big influence inside the dressing room.

No bargain deal on the table after Manchester City move fell through

The FA investigation famously torpedoed Paqueta’s high-profile move to Manchester City a couple summers ago, leaving both clubs in limbo. City moved on to other signings, while Paqueta stayed in East London.

Now, with Graham Potter at the helm, West Ham’s message is clearer than ever: no club is getting Lucas Paqueta on the cheap. If the valuation isn’t met, he stays, and everyone seems aligned on that point.

Potter, speaking while on tour in the US, stood by his player. “I don’t know anything. I just know we have to support him. He has been through a long ordeal. He is a big personality in the group.”

Plenty of eyes will be on the situation in the coming weeks, but unless someone stumps up a huge offer, Paqueta won’t be going anywhere.
