Tyler Morton and James McAtee West Ham interest

West Ham Keeping Tabs on England U21

West Ham are tracking England Under-21 stars James McAtee and Tyler Morton ahead of the summer transfer window, according to club insider ExWHUEmployee via The West Ham Way. Both players featured in England’s recent 2-1 win over Spain at the U21 Euros, with McAtee getting on the scoresheet.

Potter and Macaulay Pushing for Younger Squad

As reported by ExWHUEmployee, the Hammers are focusing their scouting efforts on the U21 European Championship, with a clear aim of adding younger talent to the squad. The recruitment shift is being led by new head coach Graham Potter and Head of Recruitment Kyle Macaulay, who are looking to lower the squad’s average age.

McAtee, on loan at Sheffield United last season and owned by Manchester City, has been on West Ham’s radar for some time. Morton, a holding midfielder at Liverpool, has also attracted long-term interest, with ExWHUEmployee stating the club has tracked him “since the end of the last window.”

Next U21 Clash Key for Further Scouting

The duo are expected to play again in England’s semi-final against the Netherlands. West Ham scouts are set to be watching closely as the club continues to weigh up potential summer moves.

Wide Options on the List, But Not the Focus

ExWHUEmployee also revealed that Chelsea winger Omari Hutchison is being monitored. However, he added that bringing in a wide player is “not a priority” at this point in the window. Central midfield appears to be the focus for now.
